What is ebony?
Ebony is Indonesia's national treasure wood, which grows on the stone island of Sulawesi next to the equator of Indonesia and is located in the tropics. Drought all year round, the ecological environment of trees is extremely poor, and the production is slow, which takes hundreds of years.
The ebony wood structure is dense, the material is hard and uniform, and the wood black has grayish brown to light red light-colored stripes. It is not deformed after wear and drying, and has high oil content. It has obvious oil-extracting phenomenon after high temperature. Fine It is slightly transparent after polishing and is not easy to crack.
The texture is extremely hard and not easy to wear. The color of the new wood is purple-black, slightly mountain-like to the wood grain, the old wood is pure black, and basically no wood grain. The wood fiber is fine, no pores, and is resistant to moisture. Even after being wiped with a dry cloth, it can restore its luster.
